The Swedish label Understatement creates underwear true to the motto **"By women for women"**. Founded by two creative Swedish women in 2017, Understatement focuses on women's underwear.

The natural designs do away with underwires, padding or itchy labels and
create pretty underwear from **hand-selected, extra-soft materials** that are as **durable, skin-friendly and climate-friendly** as possible. Materials used include premium mesh from Belgium, Italian microfiber and high-quality German lace.

In some pieces, polyamide is replaced with**high-quality, sustainable
Econyl fibers** made from plastic waste from the ocean.

Understatement also places a high value on **women empowerment**:
